The Practice Exchange Repository captures and records examples of effective teaching and learning practice. It provides staff with the opportunity to describe a specific instance of 'effective' teaching and learning practice which they have planned and used with students.

The Practice Exchange Repository has two main purposes:

  • to encourage critical reflection as staff record and describe their examples of practice;
  • to build a database of good practice examples of teaching and learning for reuse.

This tool provides staff with the opportunity to describe their own examples of effective practice in a consistent and supportive manner. Users enter information about their specific example into the tailored online form. Each field in the form covers one feature of the teaching and learning situation that is relevant to practitioners when they plan, design and carry out teaching and learning activities. A completed form will describe all or most of these features, and will provide an example of practice that can be shared with others within the University.
